Fruit custard is a really rich feeling which melts in the mouth as soon as I have a bite. It’s not just a feeling, it’s an experience. So today, I’m here to present to you the most beautiful fruit custard recipe.

Pro tip: Using multiple types of fruits at a time will enhance the flavour of the custard and the experience would be great.

Using single fruits is also fair but it would keep the custard limited by itself. Like apple custard, mango custard, banana custard, blueberry custard, etc.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp custard powder
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • ¼ cup mix nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts, pecans, pistachios, dates)
  • 3-4 cups mix fruits (berries – raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, chopped apples, halved grapes – green and black, cherries, bananas, mangoes, kiwi, pomegranate)

Procedure

  1. In a heavy bottom skillet, for the milk and the sugar. Let it be on the flame and side by side in a small bowl mix together the custard powder and the milk.
  2. For the custard milk mixture into the milk in the skillet. Keep the spatula going through the milk in the Skillet on low flame.
  3. Once the milk thickens turn off the flame and mix it with the vanilla extract and heavy cream.
  4. Transfer it to a bowl and cool completely. Once it’s cooler, start adding the fruits and nuts to the chilled custard.

Serving

Serve it chilled to get the best experience out of the custard.
